The location and views from the room and setting of hotel.
I didn't think our room was worth 150 pounds per night.

Everything about this quirky and peaceful hotel was amazing. We loved king room provided with hot bath and bedrooms. The location was handy and spectacular, within walking distance of Platform Galeri.

The staff at the hotel were extremely kind & very helpful. We had nice conversations with several members of staff and the person at the check- in desk was great in helping us with information about the area. These are the things that make a holiday enjoyable and the staff at this hotel definitely played their part in making our weekend special. The gardens are very pretty and the location is very convenient for reaching Snowdon.
The hotel looks very grand in the pictures (which is why we chose it) but in fact it has a slightly "tired" feel to it, as if it has seen better days. It could use a face-lift in several areas and definitely needs an injection of style! The location also looks fantastic along the river, but in reality it is very close to a busy road (actually two busy roads) so if you expect to sit on the terrace and listen to the sounds of nature you will be disappointed. The rooms are well soundproofed however, so in the room you didn't hear the road, but our room was located over a generator or something and there was noise from this all night (not very bad, but a bit annoying). The standard rooms are also quite small and if you want one of the bigger rooms, one with a view of the river or a terrace, you have to pay a lot more. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and didn't think this was very good value for money.

Excellent service, hospitality, Resteraunt and food top of the range.....Massive compliments to the chef and bar/resteraunt staff....(Marie waitress and barman at dinner 31/05/2011)
Beutifully renovated room, stayed in room 10........... in order to keep up the standard, small details must be addressed: tv channels freezing, chipped/cracked crockery, bathroom mirror cord, .......important that management stay on the ball in order to collect 100% review....£150 A night for this particular room a little bit pricey compared to other hotels around the country I've stayed in but, otherwise delightful experience. The Hotel has everything it takes to be up there with the best, if they stay hot with interior housekeeping and maintanance. Staff however, made up for any minor blips during my stay....Gorgeous!!!!

Room 16, Hotel has no lift. Room has no opening widow, only a patio door, and felt stuffy at times. leaving the patio door open allowed in fly as there was no protective screne. No shelf in the shower. Wash basin drained slowly

We had an amazing night here, relaxing by the lovely garden and enjoying a cozy evening in the sun terrace. The food was top-notch, and although the en-suite had a slight odor, it didn't dampen our spirits one bit. If you're around, definitely try the dining options—they're truly fantastic! 😊
